Soul
Haven is a not for profit organization dedicated to community outreach
and education regarding the effects of domestic and sexual violence on
the individual, the family, and the community. While we provide
advocacy and transportation to victims of domestic and sexual violence
and aid them in their efforts to be able to live free from violence, we
also realize that more is needed.
A group of us got together and
knew we had to do something. Although having a place to stay that is
safe and free of fear is vitally important when fleeing an abusive
situation, we feel that to truly end the cycle of domestic violence and
sexual violence, education and outreach are needed.
For victims and survivors, we offer the following services:
Crisis intervention
Court/legal advocacy
Primary prevention
Safe at Home application assistance
Support groups for women
Transportation for court, relevant medical appointments, and other related appointments.
Hospital/medical advocacy
Life Skills Classes
For the community, we offer:
Educational
opportunities concerning domestic and sexual violence. Learn the
risks, signs, and behaviors associated with these issues. Learn to
recognize them and learn how to speak out against it.
